Alright well folks we’re back at it for another Xfinity race because these drivers get a week off. That’s right, for next weekend the only NASCAR race we have will be at New Hampshire and I’ll be on the Playbook for that one as Matt gets a couple days off. The timing is nice since August is loaded with double-headers at the Cup level for Dover and Michigan. I believe Xfinity has a double-header as well so that’ll be a handful. If you already caught the Truck Playbook that was published overnight you’ll know I’m a little tied down with other commitments this week so I haven’t had time to put together any tables. However, in my breakdowns I’ll mention previous driver histories at Kansas, Kentucky, and Chicago as well as momentum since I feel that goes into current plays this week as well.

Stages will be 40-40-87 and I’m sure there’s a competition caution somewhere between Lap 15-20. The only series not having the CC is the Truck series.

Friday features the first of back-to-back NASCAR Truck Series races at Kansas Speedway, with the Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 200. This race should be mostly normal -- it's Saturday with a partial field invert that can create some really neat ways to exploit the DFS pricing -- but if Thursday's Cup race is any indication, it might feature plenty of carnage.

The good news this week is there's no Kyle Busch in this one, so you don't have to radically rethink who your lineup goes to fit Kyle Busch and his $50,000 salary or something. (That was a joke for now, but watch him get priced that high one day.)

Here at RotoBaller, we want to help you make informed decisions about your DFS lineups, which is why I'll be breaking down the slates for the Truck Series. Let's look at some NASCAR Truck Series DFS lineup picks for the Vankor 250 on DraftKings. (And if any other DFS providers want to start doing Trucks, we'll do those too!) Matt Crafton #88 ($10,000)
Starting 17th

I still believe in Matt Crafton, and the past two races are finally proving that my faith in the veteran trucker is paying off.

After a first lap crash at Pocono that left him 40th in the finishing order and 14th in points, Crafton's scored consecutive third-place finishes at 1.5-mile tracks.

And guess what, y'all: we're at another intermediate track tonight, and it's one where Crafton has two career victories and 10 top 10s in 19 starts. Since 2013, he's got four finishes of first or second at the track, and the past two years has finished sixth.

Basically, this is an ideal spot for Crafton to continue his recent resurgence.

Christian Eckes #18 ($8,900)
Starting 1st

Look, I'm not going to pretend that Eckes starting on the pole doesn't worry me because of place differential, but as the 10th-highest priced driver on this slate in a truck with a lot of speed and a good chance of leading some early laps, I'm taking Eckes.

Last week at Texas, Eckes finished second after starting seventh in a race that saw him lead 52 of the 167 laps. He's led laps at multiple 1.5-mile tracks this season, and he ranks fourth in the series in early run speed. I'm expecting Eckes to pull out front for at least a little while at the start of this thing, which helps negate the concern of him not getting place differential points.

Sheldon Creed #2 ($8,400)
Starting 10th

Creed's got some decent upside as he launches from the 10th position on Friday. The winner at Kentucky, a flat tire ruined his chances at Texas, but Creed's in a great spot to rebound this week.

Creed is already locked into the playoffs by virtue of that Kentucky win and Creed -- who ranks fifth in average running position -- should have a truck capable of getting up front and challenging for a top five, if not a second victory of 2020.

There's not a ton else to say about Creed. His truck's been in the bottom half of the top 10 in most speed ranks this year, and while he's not driving the fastest vehicle on the track, he is driving a pretty good GMS Racing machine.

Zane Smith #21 ($8,000)
Starting 7th

Speaking of GMS Racing, Zane Smith! Another driver who's starting in the top 10 -- going with guys like this just made sense this week after looking over some data for the bottom half of the starting lineup -- and has a chance to contend for a strong finish.

Smith's struggled with consistency lately, with just one top 10 in his last four races. But that's also helped depress his DFS price, which is good news for us, because all four of Smith's top 10s this year have come at intermediate tracks.

That includes Charlotte, when he drove from 30th to third, his best finish of the year. Smith knows his way around this type of track, and he does have a third-place finish here in ARCA, for whatever little that's worth.

Ty Majeski #45 ($7,100)
Starting 19th

Hi, my name is Justin and I have a problem called "I won't stop putting Ty Majeski in my DFS lineups."

Despite only having two top 10s this year, I keep falling for Majeski's top 20 upside. In the six races where he didn't crash out, he has a worst finish of 19th. Keep the truck in one piece, and Majeski has a chance to sneak into the lower half of the top 10 or, at least, somewhere in that 11-15 range.

This Niece Motorsports truck isn't elite equipment. Teammate Ross Chastain is fourth in green flag speed, while Majeski is 18th. But the team has shown flashes this year of production, and before crashing at Pocono, Majeski had driven as high as third.

Derek Kraus #19 ($6,900)
Starting 15th

Let's end things with another regular to this space, Derek Kraus.

Even without the place differential upside of some other drivers, I think Kraus is a better play than higher-priced drivers like Clay Greenfield and Jordan Anderson, mainly because Kraus is a better driver than those kind of drivers and has a better truck.

Kraus has a top 10 in half of his starts this season, and just one finish outside of the top 20, which came at Vegas. He's been racing so consistently since then, with just one finish off of the lead lap, and even that race saw him finish 11th. Kraus and this Bill McAnally team continue to improve. It's not going to be long before they're fixtures in the top 10.

The rankings below are based on a mixture of expected output and DraftKings’ NASCAR salaries for Thursday’s race at Kansas Speedway. The ordering is not based on the highest projected fantasy totals, but rather by value of each driver. Note: fppk = average fantasy points per $1,000 of salary.

The Super Start Batteries 400 slate locks at 7:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, July 23. Set your DraftKings lineups here: NAS $400K Front Row [$100K to 1st] (Cup)

1. Kevin Harvick ($11,500) - Texas has been very good to Harvick. He didn’t get the win, but he had the second-highest driver rating last week. The last two night races, on the other hand, have not been great for Harvick. The COVID-19 rules have created a guessing game for teams. Harvick’s team has made some good guesses in day races, but they have been striking out with their night time setups. (5.6 fppk)

2. Chase Elliott ($11,000) - The No. 9 car has been fast all season, but it has been particularly fast at intermediate tracks in cool temperatures. During the Charlotte, Darlington and Homestead night races, and the night time portion of the Memorial Day race, Elliott was the best car on the track. (4.3 fppk)

3. Denny Hamlin ($10,200) - His best intermediate track races have been at night. Hamlin won the second Darlington race and he destroyed the field at Homestead. Last year, Hamlin was much better in the day race than the night race at Kansas, but the Kansas night race was early in the season. JGR struggled with this high downforce setup early in 2019. (4.5 fppk)

4. Ryan Blaney ($9,900) - Luck has been a strange factor in Blaney’s career. His three Penske wins were all lucky (two plate wins, and a Roval win in which the two leaders wrecked each other on the last turn). In races where luck should not be a factor and Blaney had a race-winning car, he’s gotten unlucky. (5.0 fppk)

5. Martin Truex, Jr. ($10,600) - His strength has been daytime races (Atlanta, Kentucky and Texas), and not the night races. The day/night factor is normally not as big of a deal, but that’s because, in the past, teams were able to practice and adjust setups. In the new NASCAR, it’s a complete guessing game. There appears to be a trend among teams that guess right for day races and those that guess right for night races. (3.9 fppk)

Curious about when major leagues and events will return? Check out our DraftKings Sports Calendar for the latest updates.

6. Kurt Busch ($8,000) - When Busch starts on the front row he earns hog points (Charlotte, Pocono and Kentucky). When he is in traffic, he’s a top-10 driver, but not a threat to earn hog points. The magic of clean air reveals that Busch’s car isn’t that great. (4.2 fppk)

7. Kyle Busch ($9,700) - He looked better last week, but he only recorded 5.5 fast lap points. That was just the sixth-most at Texas. Given his struggles over the last 12 months, it’s not a surprise that Busch was only the sixth fastest car last week. (3.4 fppk)

8. Alex Bowman ($8,500) - This might be the week where Bowman’s season gets back on track. There are two reasons to explain Bowman’s possible rebound. He nearly won the 2019 Kansas night race, but he struggled in the day race. This season, Bowman has been noticeably better in the night races and the cooler temperature races. (3.4 fppk)

9. Joey Logano ($9,300) - Even before the chaos and his wreck at the end of the 2019 Kansas fall race, Logano struggled. It wasn’t Logano’s fault, his crew chief decided to set the car up with a lot of downforce to give Logano better handling. The excessive downforce created too much drag and Logano spent most of the day trapped in traffic. (3.7 fppk)

10. Tyler Reddick ($8,300) - The RCR cars were good last week, but they were not contenders. Their only chance was to get on a different pit schedule. This strategy paid off when Quin Houff wrecked laps before Reddick was going to pit under green. (4.6 fppk)

11. Brad Keselowski ($9,500) - The second half of the 2019 season was not a pleasant experience for Keselowski. The No. 2 car lacked speed at the intermediate tracks, and the Kansas fall race is a perfect example. He was stuck in the teens all day and went a lap down on the last long green-flag run. (4.7 fppk)

12. Christopher Bell ($8,100) - With a couple of wrecks last week at Texas, Bell reminded DFS players that he’s still a rookie. His starting position and price were very appealing last week, but his propensity to make mistakes was a big red flag. (3.7 fppk)

13. Aric Almirola ($8,700) - SHR is giving Almirola very fast cars every week. They’re so focused on speed that they didn’t even give him brakes last week, but he was able to overcome his brake issue at Texas. After a questionable penalty that NASCAR invented in the middle of a race last weekend, Almirola was able to drive out of a major hole and record his seventh consecutive top-10 finish. (4.8 fppk)

14. Erik Jones ($9,000) - NASCAR DFS can be maddening. Erik Jones is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma. He has been optimal five times since the season resumed. In the other nine races, he’s averaging 19 fantasy points per race. (4.0 fppk)

15. William Byron ($7,800) - Hendrick Motorsports has figured something out with their night time intermediate track setup. Byron is averaging an 11th place finish in night time races this season. Byron hasn’t been great in these races, but he’s been consistently good as opposed to his results in the day races. (3.2 fppk)

16. Clint Bowyer ($7,500) - This car has been fine in clean air, but it struggles when it has to start in the teens. Due to the new random draw qualifying format, Bowyer will continue to start outside of the top 12. Kansas is his home track, but he’s never had a good race at this intermediate track. (3.9 fppk)

17. Michael McDowell ($6,200) - Last week was a bounce-back week for McDowell, or was it? In the first 250 laps, his average position was 25th. Several laps before a scheduled green-flag pit stop a caution came out, and McDowell was able to cycle forward 10 spots ahead of the drivers that had pit under green. Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good. (5.5 fppk)

18. Austin Dillon ($7,200) - Give credit to Richard Childress. He knew his drivers lacked talent and his cars weren’t that fast, so he hired Rho AI in 2017. This data firm creates predictive models for real-time pit road strategies. Every non-plate track Cup win (4) for RCR since 2013 have been based on a lucky strategy call. (4.4 fppk)

19. Ryan Preece ($5,800) - The clock is ticking for Preece. After a lackluster rookie season, Preece has only gotten worse. Preece has finished in last place in each of the last three races, a feat only achieved by four drivers in NASCAR history. He’s due, he’s cheap and he’s starting 35th. (2.6 fppk)

20. Ryan Newman ($6,600) - Finally, Newman can earn a little bit of place differential. His 18th place starting position doesn’t make him a lock, but his price tag might make him popular. Unfortunately, a 15th place finish is only 5x. (3.6 fppk)

Also, for the first time since the COVID-19 outbreak, NASCAR is allowing more than a few thousand fans to attend a race. As many as 30,000 fans could be on hand at Bristol for Wednesday night's events.

QUAKER STATE 400 NASCAR online free live streaming 2020 high quality(HD) broadcast on Sunday,July 12,Track: Kentucky Speedway ,Watch QUAKER STATE 400 NASCAR free live stream online Race on any device,Start Time:2:30 p.m. ET (Sunday) .You can follow to Watch QUAKER STATE 400 NASCAR free live streaming from here details below.

The Quaker State 400 Presented by Walmart at Kentucky Speedway on Sunday starts the 10-race sprint to the 2020 NASCAR playoffs. We're only seven weeks away from the scheduled end of the regular season at Daytona International Speedway on Aug. 29.

It's as good a time as any to assess the sport's postseason bubble. And how the 16-driver race gets shaken up will depend on the ability of four cagey veterans to sort out their rollercoaster seasons.

Let's start with Kyle Busch. It seems unthinkable the reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion is winless 16 races in after a 2019 campaign that saw him capture five victories (and 14 overall within the sport's top three series). Busch has led only 130 laps, on pace for the lowest total in his full-time Cup career, and has never risen higher than eighth in the season standings.

Right now, he's 10th, over 100 points ahead of the playoff bubble (teammate Erik Jones). On paper, that seems safe. But remember what type of year this has been; a lot of wild and wacky things can happen in the next 10 races. All it would take is a few crashes, some underdog winners and suddenly? Busch, known for his volatility, could be in a more precarious position.

Then, there's seven-time NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson, still reeling from testing positive for COVID-19 last Friday morning. Johnson, who missed Indianapolis, was cleared for racing this weekend at Kentucky Speedway after two negative tests within 24 hours. However, a missed race was costly, dropping him to 15th in the standings and only 36 points ahead of the bubble. Long gone is the early-season momentum that nearly ended his three-year winless streak; Johnson hasn’t had a top-five finish since Bristol Motor Speedway seven races ago.

Those two could face extra pressure from two veterans in must-win scenarios. Matt Kenseth, who replaced Kyle Larson in Chip Ganassi's No. 42 Chevrolet, has spent much of the year struggling to adjust to the current NASCAR handling package. But the 2003 Cup Series champ figured it out last weekend at Indianapolis, finishing second for his best finish since November 2017. Kenseth suddenly looks good enough to win, becoming a bid-stealer over another winless driver who's run all the races.

That distinction also applies to Roush Fenway Racing's Ryan Newman. Newman's best finish remains a ninth in the season-opening Daytona 500, a race that nearly took his life and cost him three races on the schedule. That said, Newman remains a driver capable of winning at any track running that No. 6 Ford Mark Martin made famous. Daytona's regular-season finale could be the perfect bookend to deliver a victory that slipped out of Newman's grasp during the near-tragic final lap there back in February.

That quartet combines for nine Cup titles, almost 200 Cup victories and well over 130 pole positions. The next 10 races will show us whether that experience is enough to overcome the youthful exuberance of rookie Tyler Reddick, Jones and even a surging Bubba Wallace as the NASCAR playoffs come into focus.

The next chapter in that battle comes at Kentucky, the newest 1.5-mile oval on the Cup Series schedule. Less than a decade of competition there leaves the race somewhat unpredictable; only five drivers have won there thus far.

Guess who two of them are, though? Matt Kenseth and Kyle Busch. Will the veterans make the first move toward clinching their spots?

Quaker State 400 Presented by Walmart

Time: 2:30 p.m. ET (Sunday)

Track: Kentucky Speedway (Sparta, Ky.)

TV: FS1

Radio: PRN, SIRIUS XM Channel 90

Who's at the Front: Kevin Harvick
Remember when Harvick said Jimmie Johnson had a golden horseshoe? I think the 2014 Cup Series champ stole that good luck charm awhile back. When Denny Hamlin blew a tire at the closing laps in Indianapolis, Harvick took control to earn back-to-back victories in one of NASCAR's crown jewel events.

The win leaves Harvick with four overall this season, tied for the Cup Series lead. He's also seeking a fourth straight Championship 4 appearance, held at a track (Phoenix International Raceway) where he owns a record nine career wins. 2020, while miserable for many, has the potential to become Harvick's career best.

Who's at the Back: Justin Allgaier
Let's just take a moment to feel for Allgaier's tough luck as a Cup Series sub. Named as the backup driver for Johnson, he became just the second driver in history to race the No. 48 car for owner Rick Hendrick. It was a prime opportunity to turn in a top-notch audition for a ride that comes open in 2021. Allgaier, at 34, was unlikely to earn the full-time nod without a solid Indy performance to get him on the radar screen.

But the veteran never got the chance to show off. Starting from the rear after the driver change, Allgaier played it safe and only gained a handful of spots before an early caution. Then, on his first trip down pit road, a nasty crash took him out of the race long before the end of stage one. Poor track position led to Allgaier becoming an innocent victim.

Add in Johnson's speedy return and the glass slipper broke on his Cinderella bid long before the clock struck midnight.

News Briefs

Best wishes to Ryan Blaney's rear tire changer, Zach Price, who will be out 3-4 months after a nasty crash on pit road in Indianapolis. Price was hit by rookie Brennan Poole, whose No. 15 could not avoid him in a fracas that involved over a half-dozen cars. Reportedly, a fractured knee is the diagnosis, although doctors expect Price to make a full recovery.

A number of PPP loans made public this week revealed how many NASCAR teams were struggling initially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Nearly half the Cup Series grid was approved for a loan, including playoff-caliber teams in Richard Childress Racing (the most, up to $10 million) and Chip Ganassi Racing. Just because a team was approved, however, doesn't mean they actually used the loan. NASCAR's quick recovery from the pandemic (just a two-month suspension) may mean some owners ultimately chose not to take the money.

NASCAR released the rest of its regular-season schedule for the Cup Series this week. No longer on it was the road course at Watkins Glen, New York, which failed to secure a government waiver to hold an athletic competition at the racetrack. Instead, NASCAR will venture down to Daytona and run the track's infield road course for the first time in series history.

The 2020 NASCAR All-Star Race has a new twist added to the cars in the field this year: underglow lighting. The quirk will be paired with a new number placement as the sport experiments with a new look for its race cars.

NASCAR by the Numbers

663

Straight Cup starts by Jimmie Johnson before missing the Cup race at Indianapolis last Sunday.

131

Laps led at Indy by Denny Hamlin, including 19 on Sunday before blowing a tire. He's now 0-for-15 for his career, one of the few major NASCAR events he hasn't won.

Playing the Odds (Fantasy Spin)

Top Tier

Kyle Busch has been a popular pick of mine in recent weeks. At some point, I just feel like the 2019 Cup Series champ has to jumpstart his season, right? Kentucky offers a prime opportunity as a racetrack where Busch has never finished lower than 12th. There are also the 621 laps led and a career average finish of 4.7 at this place. Sure, Busch will be expensive. But he's worth the money.

Don't sleep on Brad Keselowski, a driver whose Kentucky history comes with a weird quirk. Here are his finishes in even-numbered years: 1st, 1st, 1st and 3rd. I'd expect 2020 will keep the pattern going after a disappointing 20th-place result here last season.

Middle Tier

We talked about how Jimmie Johnson needs a good performance. A slump of poor performances at Kentucky (four straight runs outside the top 15) will make him cheaper for Sunday's race. Take the chance and don't bet against a seven-time champion in his final full-time season. It's one of the few tracks on the circuit Johnson hasn't won at and he comes in ready and eager to knock it off his bucket list.

Kurt Busch is the defending winner at this track after a thrilling OT victory last season over brother Kyle. He did it with a No. 1 team that also ran well here historically with previous driver Jamie McMurray. Add in Matt Kenseth's recent surge and it feels like it's a good time to play the hot hand at Chip Ganassi Racing.

Lower Tier

Rookie Christopher Bell signed a new sponsor this week in Germania Insurance. Kentucky's the perfect place to keep the momentum going despite his first Cup race at the 1.5-mile track. Four top-5 finishes in five starts in NASCAR's Xfinity and Truck series make him a good bet to sustain that success.

Not to be outdone, fellow rookie Cole Custer earned his first career top-5 finish in Cup this past weekend at Indianapolis. It's perfect timing heading to a track where he's the defending Xfinity Series race winner.

Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch are tied with 6/1 odds to win the Kentucky event. Brad Keselowski and Martin Truex Jr. are right behind at 7/1, according to oddsmaker vegasinsider.com.

Ryan Newman would be one heck of a longshot; the payout is sitting at 100/1.

This July 4th was supposed to be a fresh start for NASCAR and Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Officials hoped a new 2020 race date for one of the sport's crown jewel events would breathe fresh life into a racetrack that's gotten stale for stock car racing. There was hope, just a few months ago, a holiday weekend could recharge attendance and get 100,000 people back into the stands.

But now? With COVID-19? One of the largest racetracks in America will have a total of just 1,500 people come through its gates — all of them racing-related employees. The pandemic bringing the country to its knees has left the Roger Penske-owned speedway as just another place people can't gather for risk of catching the deadly coronavirus.

After seven weeks of skating past COVID-19 infections, the virus is catching up with the NASCAR garage area, too. Seven-time series champion Jimmie Johnson will miss his final Indy race, testing positive after wife Chani started experiencing allergy-like symptoms. The Friday night withdrawal sent shockwaves through the sport's garage area as Johnson became the first driver to contract COVID-19 since NASCAR's return in mid-May.

"My first priority is the health and safety of my loved ones and my teammates," Johnson said. "I've never missed a race in my Cup career, but I know it's going to be very hard to watch from the sidelines when I'm supposed to be out there competing."

According to NASCAR, Johnson, who is asymptomatic, will be granted a playoff waiver should he still qualify for the 2020 postseason. It's unclear how many races he'll miss as rules require two negative test results at least 24 hours apart to be medically cleared.

So into the void comes Justin Allgaier, just the second ever person to drive the No. 48 Chevrolet in a points-paying Cup Series event. It's an incredible opportunity for the longtime NASCAR Xfinity Series regular to audition for the full-time job once Johnson retires at the end of the season. Allgaier, who last drove a Cup race in 2016, is considered a longshot at best but a surprise win at Indy? It'll be a Cinderella story for the ages.

Track position will be key this weekend in a race where the cream often rises to the top. NASCAR's qualifying system already puts the top 12 cars in owner points up front; chances are, Sunday's winner will come from there. Pole-sitter Joey Logano is still seeking his first Indianapolis win to add to a growing Hall of Fame resume. Denny Hamlin is in the same boat, bringing momentum from a Sunday Pocono victory that gave him a series-leading four on the Cup circuit this year. Kyle Busch, meanwhile, could use some past Indy victory magic to recharge what’s been a winless 2020 overall.

But the biggest story surrounding this weekend, as the politics hopefully quiets down around the sport, is how the cars actually race around this 2.5-mile oval. The current Cup Series handling package on larger tracks was created, in part, to remedy the single-file, spread-out competition that's developed over the years for stock cars at Indianapolis. It's only fitting the record for lead changes here (26) happened during a year (2008) where tires were blowing on the race cars every 10-12 laps.

NASCAR has yet to recover here from that embarrassing moment, spurring experimentation like Saturday's Xfinity Series race on the track's infield road course. If Sunday produces another snoozer, similar to Kevin Harvick's dominating win from the pole last year, expect the Cup Series to consider abandoning the oval altogether in 2021. That'll be a big white flag of surrender for a partnership that initially brought stock car racing to national prominence when they first raced at the speedway in 1994.

Who's at the Front: Aric Almirola
What in the world has gotten into the No. 10 team at Stewart-Haas Racing? No, Almirola hasn't won, but after falling to the precipice of the playoff bubble this veteran, in the last year of his deal, has turned red hot. The last four races, Almirola has posted four straight top-5 finishes, including a third and a fifth at Pocono last weekend.

Just how rare is that for one of the sport's nice, unassuming guys? The four-race total produced a career high for top-5 finishes in a season (four). That's for a driver who’s made the playoffs multiple times and raced nearly a decade with some decent opportunities at SHR, Dale Earnhardt Inc. and Richard Petty Motorsports. With pending free agency looming and other options available (cough, Kyle Larson, cough) did Almirola just peak at the right time?

Who's at the Back: Quin Houff
Who? Houff, a 22-year-old with 27 total starts in NASCAR's top three series, was tabbed to drive the No. 00 full-time in 2020. He replaced popular former driver Landon Cassill at Starcom Racing despite not a single career lead-lap finish at the Cup level.

Alas, a year with no practice has made a near-impossible task for Houff even worse. He crashed out in one of the Pocono races, finishing dead last, and has accumulated an ugly average finish of 32.9. He's got zero top-25 results and has fewer points than any driver who's competed in all 15 events thus far.

How bad has this rookie campaign been? Houff has 11 fewer starts than now-sidelined Kyle Larson. And he’s still 52 points behind him! Geesh.

This year's NASCAR All-Star Race at Bristol Motor Speedway comes with a new twist: the "choose cone'"rule. This tweak, commonly used on short tracks, forces drivers to pick a specific lane on the restart after driving past a specific point. Currently, only the leader is eligible to switch between the inside or outside lane on a restart. NASCAR also announced this week the race at Bristol will have three stages comprised of 35, 35 and 15 laps apiece.

Go FAS Racing and driver Corey Lajoie have picked up a new nine-race primary sponsor: President Donald Trump. The Patriots of America PAC has signed on in a nine-race deal that plasters the 2020 Republican's reelection campaign all over the No. 32 Ford. While the driver was less political, focusing on voter registration, team owner Archie St. Hilaire was all-in on the new deal. "I am honored to be part of the President's re-election campaign," Hilaire said. "As a Trump 2020 supporter, this team will do everything possible to secure victory on and off the track, electing Donald Trump to a second term. Let us bring this country back and Keep America Great."

NBC will cover its first NASCAR Cup Series race of the season this weekend at Indianapolis. FS1 will return for two more Cup events, Kentucky Speedway and the All-Star Race, before ceding coverage to NBC the rest of the year.

2

Racetracks left on the NASCAR circuit where Kevin Harvick hasn’t won: Kentucky Speedway and the Charlotte ROVAL (where only two races have been run). Harvick also never won during his career at the now-defunct Rockingham Speedway from 2001-04.

6

Wins for Denny Hamlin at Pocono Raceway after Sunday's victory. That's a career high for him at any track and the most of any active driver in the Cup Series.

Playing the Odds (Fantasy Spin)

Top Tier

Martin Truex Jr. isn't the most conventional pick at Indianapolis. On paper, it's one of his worst tracks: he has just three top-10 finishes in 15 career starts. But Truex had the speed here back in 2017, leading eight laps before tangling with Kyle Busch on a restart while battling up front. It's a crown jewel he desperately wants to win and one of the few not checked off on his bucket list. A cheaper price may make him a better play for your roster.

Kyle Busch has had a difficult year but track history is on his side in Indianapolis. He once led 149 of 170 laps here en route to a dominating victory. It's the type of track where Joe Gibbs Racing horsepower and good pit stops can put Busch in position to capitalize; expect them to do so.

Middle Tier

Clint Bowyer is not the first name you think of at Indy. But on the heels of two straight top-5 finishes here, he's got to be on the shortlist for your fantasy roster. Nearly 40 (37) laps led in 2018 shows he can get the job done up front. And a 22nd-place starting spot? That should lead to precious position differential points.

Previous Indy (2013) winner Ryan Newman is running out of time to close the points gap caused by missing three races early in the season. Can this weekend be the track he needs to jumpstart a slow summer? Runs of third, 10th and eighth the last three seasons at this place have been solid, under-the-radar performances.

Lower Tier

Why not take a flyer on Justin Allgaier? He'll likely start at the back due to the driver change on the No. 48 team and will be playing with house money. He's got a best finish of just 27th in two Indianapolis career Cup starts but those aren't really comparable; both were with underfunded organizations. It's a chance for this lovable underdog to prove himself on one of the sport's biggest stages.

A really cheap alternative here might be Corey Lajoie in the No. 32. Lajoie was a quiet 19th last season at Indy, an impressive leap from his 30th starting spot with the single-car, Go FAS Racing outlet. He could make a similar jump under the right circumstances.

What Vegas Thinks
Kevin Harvick has the edge at Indy with 4/1 odds to win, according to stats compiled at vegasinsider.com. Kyle Busch is next on the list with 5/1 odds followed by Denny Hamlin at 6/1.

A reasonable longshot would be the aforementioned red-hot Aric Almirola. He's sitting at 40/1.

The 2020 FIA Formula 1 World Championship will finally begin this weekend at the Red Bull Ring for the Austrian Grand Prix. After a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the sport will return for the first time since testing in February.

The Red Bull Ring will play host to two race weekends on the reduced schedule for this season, while next weekend will see the second race at the track.

This will be the thirty-third running of the Austrian Grand Prix, which first debuted back in 1964. Since then the Grand Prix has been held at several different tracks including the Zeltweg Airfield and Österreichring (a previous guise of the current Red Bull Ring); Formula 1 returned in 2014 at the Red Bull Ring and has been part of the regular calendar since.

What happened at the 2019 Austrian Grand Prix
The 2019 Austrian Grand Prix, was a hard-fought battle that saw Max Verstappen take his second win at the circuit back to back. This also marked the first Honda-powered win since Jenson Button in 2006. Second, belonged to Charles Leclerc and Valtteri Bottas came home in third place.

Leclerc started strongly from pole position as Verstappen struggled with issues on his RB15, as an anti-stall issue saw him drop down the grid at the start to eighth place. During the start, World Champion Lewis Hamilton briefly battled with McLaren F1 Team’s Lando Norris for third place while Kimi Räikkönen managed to hold fourth place for several laps.

Verstappen quickly recovered from his start and managed to pass several drivers, as he got back up to pace with the battle at the front. Sebastian Vettel also started well from down in ninth place.

Kevin Magnussen in the Haas was handed a drive-through penalty by the stewards for being over the grid line at the start of the race. He had already dropped back due to pitting but the penalty meant he could not recover and finished in nineteenth place.

The top six started pitting around lap 22 and saw a battle between Bottas and Vettel. Bottas pitted and so did Vettel, but the German got stuck behind the McLaren of Lando Norris. Pierre Gasly dropped down the order as he had an issue with his pitstop.

The Mercedes cars started struggling with the high track and air temperatures, and Hamilton ran wide over a kerb and damaged his front wing, leaving him to pit for a new one. Verstappen then led the race but pitted the following lap, handing the lead back to Leclerc.

Verstappen fell back to fourth place after pitting but began a charge towards the leaders of the race. He quickly passed Vettel and Bottas with a new tyre advantage, meaning he was up to second place and only had Leclerc to pass. The Dutchman caught up with Leclerc and on lap 68 he passed him into turn two. Verstappen took a wide line a lap later causing contact between Leclerc and Verstappen, which led to Leclerc being forced off of the circuit and on to a kerb.

Verstappen held onto first place and took the checkered flag, which secured the first non-Mercedes win of the 2019 season. Leclerc home in second place and Bottas rounded off the podium. It saw also Antonio Giovinazzi take his first points-scoring position of the season.

The race was the first race since the 2016 Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix were all the drivers finished the race.

The Circuit
The Red Bull Ring is 4.318 km and the race has seventy-one laps. The circuit has the fewest corners on the circuit with one ten corners. The track consists of four long straights, which end with some tight corners. The Red Bull Ring is a medium downforce circuit which puts a need for straight-line speed.

The engines can often be more stressed at the track due to the track being 680 meters above sea level. The cars are at full throttle for around 65% of the lap and it also is a high-break wear track. This is one of the fastest circuits on the calendar with Leclerc’s pole lap being a 1:03.003, making it the circuit with the shortest lap time.

Sectors, Corners, and DRS Zones
Sector 1, this is turn one to turn two, the track starts with a 216.94m drive to turn one which is a right-hander. To turn into one of the four long straights on the track, the first straight being a uphill climb to turn two.

Sector 2 (Turn 3 to Turn 6), starts with a heavy breaking zone at turn three, but it offers good opportunities for overtaking. The corner which is nearly a ninety degree turn, forms into a long straight. This sector end with one of the more demanding left-hander turns, at turn six.

Sector 3, this is from turn seven to the final turn at turn 10. This sector begins with a left-hander at turn seven, this turn surround and makes the drivers pass the “Bull of Spielberg”. The sector features two long straights and is comprised of a series of right-hand corners. Sector Three contains the fastest corner on the track with the Jochen Rindt Kurve at Turn nine, which is at the top of the crest and then drops downhill after the apex.

The track contains three DRS Zones, the first DRS zone has a detection point just after turn 10, with the activation zone coming after turn one. The second DRS zone, has a detection point slightly before turn three and the activation zone comes after the corner down the long straight. The third DRS zone, was new for last season race, and the detection point is found after turn 9, and the activation point is after turn ten down the start-finish straight.

The circuit offers several opportunities for overtaking and is enhanced by the three DRS zones, which have allowed for better racing at the track.
